Directory lifecycle

The environmentally responsible journey of a directory begins long before the book arrives on your doorstep. And it continues long after it's been recycled. It's all part of Dex's commitment to reduce waste, to better production practices and to limit our carbon footprint.

Roll over any stage of the
directory lifecycle to learn more.

1. Not a single tree is cut
down for the sole purpose of
manufacturing directory-grade
paper. We use a minimum of
25% post-consumer recycled
materials and other wood
by-products.
2. Our directories use soy-based and non-toxic inks, glues and dyes whenever possible. We continuously review the sustainability of our practices. 3. We provide information in the method people want to find it - in print, online at DexKnows.com, DexPages.com
or at m.DexKnows.com on your
mobile device.
4. Dex helps identify convenient recycling options for residential
and consumer customers. Recycling allows us to collectively reduce greenhouse gas emissions. www.epa.gov, March, 2010
5. Because they can be fully recycled, our directories become cardboard, egg crates, paper cups, cellulose insulation, packaging or even turned back into directories through our buy-back program.
